This year both the South Beach Wine and Food Festival and the Taste of Coral Springs should prove to be two of the more entertaining outdoor events of the Spring season in South Florida area.
The Feisty Bull is proud to be a participant in both and we will do our best to make both events memorable for all involved. Here is a quick rundown on what will be going on at both.
The 2016 festival will be feature five days – February 24-28 – of showcase events featuring the talents of the world’s best chefs and their signature dishes in multiple venues. Of particular note is the inclusion of such luminary chefs as Ted Allen, Anne Burrell and Bobby Flay as well as such celebrities as Valerie Bertinelli and Trisha Yearwood.
The atmosphere at SoBeWFF is always electric throughout the week but it comes to a head on Saturday and Sunday. On the first day of the weekend, The Feisty Bull is participating in the Grand Tasting Event on the beach – the largest event of the day with 6,500 people expected. We will be offering 4,000 samples of our renowned pollo loco taco and Cuban sandwich egg rolls. Wine Spectator will also present their Best of the Best list towards the end of the night.
Sunday will see Goya Foods host their magnificent Grand Tasting Village and Andrew Zimmern hosts the Lucky Chopsticks Night. There is a great time to be had by all at this event but, most importantly, the festival will benefit the students at the Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management at Florida International University.
This is the first time the festival has expanded to five days and also the first time it has extended its reach to Fort Lauderdale, where events are scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 24.
Taste of Coral Springs
Not quite as elaborate but still very enjoyable is this one-day event held about 50 miles north of Miami in Coral Springs on February 23. The event will feature many of the better known restaurants in the area including Buca di Beppo, BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse, Outback Steakhouse and, of course, the Feisty Bull.
At the Feisty Bull tent, we will be serving two of our signature dishes, the pollo loco taco and the “pissed-off pig” taco. A little dessert never hurts either. Our recommendation – try the strawberry cheesecake chimichangas. They are unbelievably tasty!
Other entertainment at the festival will include live music all night long from the likes of regional favorites, Shadow Creek and The Rodeo Clowns. A live auction you can bid on a variety of restaurant gift certificates and sports memorabilia. All in all, it should be a memorable night.
